Mumbi Muturi

I am a multi-disciplinary visual artist based in Nairobi, Kenya.

 I create by capturing and manipulating light and that I use to be  able to extract the essence of my subjects and highlight their soul through a refined use of contrast. 

My work interrogates the interaction between people and their surroundings, the juxtaposition of humanity and nature. 

Resilience and strength and most importantly hope is what I want my images to capture, whether still or moving.
